We will spend four – 90 minute virtual sessions together one on one. We start with your business history and your future business vision. No worries if you don’t know what that is, that is my job to ask the right questions to help you formulate your vision.

This entrepreneurial framework covers many of the traditional segments of a classic business plan, but is created based on your business model, industry, and your unique business expertise. As an entrepreneur, your business and vision are one of a kind, and deserve a plan customized for you.

We are not simply filling in blanks of a template, we are working through the alignment and strategy of each piece of your plan, and how they can move you towards your unique business vision.

Throughout the process, a digital document will be created to formalize your plan. As we go through the steps, I will summarize our work into the different segments of your business plan in this document. When we are done working together, this editable document is yours to save, print, update, and use moving forward.

Who is a good fit for this framework?

This framework is best for a service based small business owner with 0-20 employees, that have been operating for two years or more. You have control of the business decisions and the future trajectory of the business. (Franchisees and retail sales business owners, please contact to see if this is a good fit for your business model.)

How is this different than a traditional business plan?

Typically when creating a plan, business owners fill in blank sections of a template with what they think about their business, or what has been historically true. In this framework, we are going deeper to determine if your current path is your best path for growth toward your goals, realigning any pieces that are not purposeful or intentional, and most importantly, you will be learning about business strategy and filling the gaps of your business owner acumen as we work together. My goal is to empower you to make more educated decisions in your business.

    What is not included during our sessions is market analysis and detailed accounting projections. We will discuss profitability and budgeting, and lay some groundwork that you can expand on with your financial professional. It is encouraged for you to bring any market research/ comparisons to the session as supporting data.

    Can I use this plan for a business loan?

    This plan is meant for use by the business owner as a strategic planning guide. If you plan to use this for funding, contact your accounting professional for advice on what information may need to be added. We will not be creating accounting documents in this plan.

    Do you have a business plan template you can send me?

    This business framework is a flexible document that I adjust according to the industry, business goals, and unique positioning of each business owner. I have created the strategic elements after working with business owners for over fifteen years, after seeing what they need in order to feel confident and organized in their business. It is not a one size fits all template that I can send. There are many templates available online and through the SBA. They do not come with the advising advantage that creating a plan with a professional includes, and some are created to be pretty and not strategic. Choose carefully.

    Does this include a marketing or content plan?

    We will discuss your client attraction methods and document those in your plan, but there is not a separate marketing or content plan included. There is a second step program to create your Marketing and Content Framework. This program can be added on after your initial framework is complete, at an additional cost.

    The Marketing & Content Framework includes a 3 page document:

    • Marketing Activities List – across all platforms (social media, email marketing, content, networking)
    • Content Framework (purpose, topic buckets, calls to action, formats)
    • Monthly activity template
